Rep. Bentivolio votes to Honor the Families of Fallen Soldiers
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Kerry Bentivolio voted for the Honoring the Families of a Fallen Soldier Act, H.J.Res 91. This legislation makes continuing appropriations for death gratuities and related survivor benefits of deceased military service members of the Department of Defense. It passed the House of Representatives in a bipartisan fashion with a vote of 425-0.
"The men and women who risk their lives to protect and serve the American people must be honored," said Rep. Kerry Bentivolio. "We should never let it be said we let a day go by without remembering what they have done for us. I urge the Senate to end their political gamesmanship and pass this legislation immediately. Our soldiers and their families deserve better."
H.J.Res 91, the Honoring the Families of a Fallen Soldier Act, will now head to the Senate for consideration.
